Before the Spring Festival holiday, the newly-established watch and jewelry service center in Shanghai between Melchers and its partner SAVinsight welcomed Jean-Marc Challandes, an old face of the Swiss watchmaking industry and Technical Manager at SAVinsight. He came to Shanghai rom Switzerland to provide on-site technical training and guidance for the service center.
In order to comply with the globally recognized standards of the Swiss watchmaking industry, the Shanghai Service Center, which cooperates with SAVinsight, selects advanced watchmaking repair equipment and testing instruments, which are 100% imported from Switzerland and certified by SAVinsight. In addition to the excellent hardware facilities, the service center also maintains good technical exchanges with the Swiss partner, and is therefore able to provide advanced services such as antique watch restoration and complicated watch maintenance on top of the general after-sales services.
The watchmaker hired by the service center has many years of working experience in luxury watch brands and has accumulated rich watchmaking knowledge and experience. Before the opening of the center, the watchmaker went to SAVinsight's headquarter in Switzerland to receive training, which further improved his professional level; Jean-Marc Challandes gave him in-depth training on the operation of the SAM system, authentication, and watchmaking skills during his trip to Shanghai. SAM system is a digital after-sales operation and management system independently developed by SAVinsight, which can comprehensively understand the whole service process in real time, control the quality of products and service center performance, and solve the long and inefficient after-sales service process caused by the uniqueness and closed nature of the traditional watch industry.
